Do you need broad form or standard collision coverage for your vehicle?
If you are wondering if you need a broad form or standard collision coverage, the first step is understanding what they mean. The biggest difference between broad form collision and standard collision is the deductible.
Broad Form Coverage:
- When you are MORE THAN 50% at fault: Your insurance pays, except the deductible that you have chosen. You must pay the deductible.
- When you are 50% OR LESS at fault: Your insurance pays. You do not have to pay the deductible.
Standard Coverage:
- When you are MORE THAN 50% at fault: Your insurance pays, except the deductible that you have chosen. You must pay the deductible.
- When you are 50% OR LESS at fault: Your insurance pays, except the deductible that you have chosen. You must pay the deductible.
